భాషణములు 2.

జ్ఞాన స్వరూపం గురించి ప్రశ్నించారు.

మహర్షి.:  వ్యక్తి ఉన్న స్థితి నుంచి అనుసరించి జ్ఞానం ఉంటుంది. అది ఎలా అంటే జాగ్రత్ అవస్థలో వ్యక్తి  స్థూల శరీరం స్థూలంగా నామరూపాలను గుర్తిస్తుంది. స్వప్నావస్థలో సూక్ష్మ శరీరము మనసులో కల్పించబడిన అనేక నామరూపాలను గుర్తిస్తుంది.సుషుప్తి అవస్థలో వ్యక్తి (గాఢనిద్రలో)  స్థూల, సూక్ష్మ శరీరాలతో సంబంధము లేకపోవడం చేత ఎటువంటి గుర్తింపు
ఉండదు. అలాగే తురీయావస్థలో వ్యక్తి పరబ్రహ్మముతో తాదాత్మ్యం చెందడంవలన ఆ వ్యక్తి సృష్టి లోని అన్నిటితోనూ సామరస్యం పొందుతాడు. ఇంకా తన ఆత్మకు భిన్నంగా మరి ఏదీలేదు.

Someone enquired about the nature of perception.
M.: Whatever state one is in, the perceptions partake of that state.
The explanation is that in the waking state (jagrat) the gross body
perceives gross names and forms; in swapna (the dream state) the
mental body perceives the mental creations in their manifold forms
and names; in the sushupti (deep dreamless sleep), the identification
with the body being lost, there are no perceptions; similarly in the
Transcendental state identity with Brahman places the man in
harmony with everything, and there is nothing apart from his Self.
